The principle: your progress stays with you

All your progress in Pitzy - seeds, pistachios, golden seeds, chapters, collection, gear, costumes and achievements - is stored on your device only (AsyncStorage), and is never sent to our server. There is no account or sign-in of any kind in the app. Deleting the app permanently deletes this progress from the device.

iCloud backup

So a reinstall or a new device (with the same Apple ID) can pick up where you left off, Pitzy also mirrors your save file to your own private iCloud storage (iCloud Key-Value Storage) - part of your Apple ID account, not our server, and we cannot access it. Without an active iCloud account, the game works normally with local storage only.

What we do not collect

The developer does not collect your name, email address, phone number or any other identifying detail. The app has no analytics or tracking tool of our own. We do not sell information to third parties.

Leaderboards (Game Center)

The four online leaderboards use Game Center - an Apple service connected to your Apple ID, and entirely optional (the game works fully without signing in). We only send Game Center your name/nickname and the relevant scores; we do not see or store your Apple ID account details. Apple’s privacy policy applies to Game Center: apple.com/legal/privacy.

Ads (Google AdMob)

The free version (without a subscription or a "No ads" purchase) occasionally shows ads via Google AdMob. Before the first ad, a consent form (UMP) is shown where required in your region, along with an App Tracking Transparency request. If you allow tracking, Google and advertisers may receive an advertising device identifier (IDFA), IP address and coarse location, and ad interaction data, to personalize ads and measure performance; without consent, only non-personalized ads are shown. A "No ads" purchase or subscription removes ads entirely. Google’s privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.

Purchases and subscription (Apple and RevenueCat)

The subscription, pistachio packs and one-time purchases are processed and stored by Apple, via your Apple ID. To manage purchases and identify subscription status, the app uses RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous user identifier (not your name or email) and your purchase history from Apple. App updates (Expo)

To fix bugs without waiting for a new store version, the app checks with Expo’s services (expo-updates) for an available update, by default on every launch. This check only sends technical information, like app version and device type, with no name, identity or progress data. Expo’s privacy policy: expo.dev/privacy.

Daily reminder

A daily reminder to come back and crack, if you turned it on in Settings, is a local notification scheduled and stored on your device only - it never goes through our server and does not require an internet connection. You can turn it off anytime in Settings.

Review prompt

After a good moment in the app (like ranking up or a first cleanup) Apple’s standard rating prompt (StoreKit) may appear, at most three times total with at least 60 days between prompts. This is a built-in iOS component, and we do not receive any information about your response.

Teens and children

Pitzy is intended for a general audience, including teens, and is not directed at children under 13. Because we do not collect personal information from any user, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app includes ads and paid purchases/subscription - parents supervising a minor’s device can restrict purchases and subscriptions through Apple’s Screen Time parental controls, at the device level.

Deleting your data

You can reset your progress anytime in Settings → "Reset progress" (requires double confirmation), or delete all data by deleting the app from your device. Game Center data is managed separately via your Apple ID settings.
